How I would start as a Data Consultant - if I could press Restart

I have been working as a data consultant for over eight years now.

I started primarily because of the promising freedom to do what I love. To pick the projects that are challenging but very insightful and help companies to create better products and services with data (and grow them).

Of course, the reality looked a bit different - or, to be fair, a lot different.

It took me these eight years to figure out how to find a good setup for me to do consulting: getting started :: doing opportunistic consulting :: ending up with a niche that I like and offering service packages.
