AVR-JTAG-USB Programmer/EmulatorAVR-JTAG-USB produced by Olimex is an opto-isolated USB-JTAG emulator for Atmel's microcontrollers of the AVR family. It supports programming of all AVR microcontrollers with support of the JTAG interface. The emulator can be powered through USB interface. Connection with the target board is implemented using the 2x5 JTAG connector (its pinout corresponds to the Atmel pinout). AVR-JTAG-USB is fully compatible with the integrated development environment AVR Studio to program, perform real-time emulation, debug, execute step-by-step programs, to set breakpoints, for memory dump, etc. This device is a complete analog of the emulator AVR JTAGICE by Atmel, and the AVR Studio development environment sees it as the brand-name emulator. However, note that this emulator can not replace a more high end one, AVR JTAGICE MK2.
