HIV is affecting the African American community at higher rates than any other racial or ethnic group. In his talk, Anderson shares his experience of becoming HIV positive and finding himself again as a black HIV positive gay man.

Anthony Anderson is a junior at Georgetown majoring in American Studies and minoring in African American Studies. He is originally from Gary, Indiana and is passionate about education equity and access in urban areas, sexual health in communities of color, and LGBTQ studies. In the past he has interned with Teach for America on campus as well as at their summer institute in Atlanta. Anthony is also a proud resident of the Black House for the 2016-2017 school year serving as the Student of Color Alliance liaison.
