This game takes place after a bad ending for Sonic.Exe: Nightmare Beginning. This game takes place between NB and EoT (Eye of Three). Exetior subdued the first trio of Sonic's friends and now seeks to completely suppress the spirit of Sonic, destroying it and taking over this and other worlds.

If you go to hanged Merfy in Ravine Mist Zone in Canonical / Hell Hard difficulty (without 350 lives [without typing UIM code]), he'll give you the code that allows you to summon Merfyrium (which is not allowed to show). Everything you get from Merfyrium is randomized. Like you can get rings, negative lives, negative rings, get rings and most importantly get buffs for girls (I didn't show other girls because I'll make a gameplay about Trio surviving in Hell Hard with Merfyrium.)

RMZ code: By typing this code, you'll unlock the secret stage Red Mist Zone where the mist of Ravine Mist Zone replaced with "Red" mist and after you collect 5 or 8 Warp Shards, you'll get jumpscared by Squidward and he'll chase you. Run for the Warp Ring for the escape. Credit goes to original creepypasta "Squidward's Suicide Red Mist" for the stage.
