মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের মামলায় গ্রেপ্তারি পরোয়ানা জারি হওয়া সেনা কর্মকর্তাদের মধ্যে ১৫ জনকে সেনা হেফাজতে নেওয়া হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে সেনা সদর। তবে একজন কর্মকর্তার খোঁজ মিলছে না। তিনি ৯ অক্টোবর সকালে বাসা থেকে বের হওয়ার পর আর ফেরেননি। তার খোঁজে তৎপর রয়েছে গোয়েন্দা সংস্থাগুলো।শনিবার বিকেলে সেনানিবাসের অফিসার্স মেসে আয়োজিত সংবাদ সম্মেলনে সেনাবাহিনীর অ্যাডজুটেন্ট জেনারেল মেজর জেনারেল মো. হাকিমুজ্জামান এ তথ্য জানান। তিনি বলেন, মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের মামলায় গ্রেপ্তারি পরোয়ানা জারি হওয়া ১৫ জন কর্মকর্তাকে সেনা হেফাজতে রাখা হয়েছে এবং তাদের বিরুদ্ধে আইন অনুযায়ী ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।উল্লেখ্য, আওয়ামী লীগ সরকারের আমলে সংঘটিত গুমের অভিযোগে দায়ের করা দুটি মামলায় গত বুধবার আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনাল ক্ষমতাচ্যুত প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা, সেনাবাহিনীর সাবেক ও বর্তমান কর্মকর্তা মিলিয়ে মোট ২৮ জনের বিরুদ্ধে গ্রেপ্তারি পরোয়ানা জারি করে। এর মধ্যে ২৫ জনই সেনা কর্মকর্তা।

The army headquarters said that 15 of the army officers who were issued arrest warrants in cases of crimes against humanity have been taken into military custody. However, one officer is missing. He did not return after leaving his home on the morning of October 9. Intelligence agencies are actively searching for him. Army Adjutant General Major General Md. Hakimuzzaman gave this information at a press conference held at the officers' mess of the cantonment on Saturday afternoon. He said that 15 officers who were issued arrest warrants in cases of crimes against humanity have been taken into military custody and action will be taken against them according to the law. It is worth noting that the International Crimes Tribunal issued arrest warrants against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and a total of 28 people, including former and current army officers, in two cases filed on charges of disappearances committed during the Awami League government. Of these, 25 are army officers.
