"Prelude to a Sunrise" for Orchestra [Score]

Описание к видео "Prelude to a Sunrise" for Orchestra [Score]

Hey everyone. I realized 2023 had passed without releasing any new pieces! So I decided to upload sonething short, but still new. I started this Adagio last year and it was my first "real" attempt at writing for orchestra. It remained untouched until I thoroughly revised it this past week—just in time for the new year!

One of the most important things I've done in the meantime is that I have been exceptionally focused on how to put Muse Sounds to good use. Of course, to do this, I had to enhance my overall understanding of the orchestra as a whole and the almost infinite nuances that you can achieve through intricate combinations. In my journey, Samuel Adler's book, The Study of Orchestration, and Thomas Goss's YouTube channel, Orchestration Online, have been of tremendous help to me. I recommend these magnificent resources for any aspiring composer or orchestrator.

I also must emphasize that studying master orchestrators such as Brahms, Strauss, Rimsky-Korsakov, Berlioz, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Ravel, etc., is beneficial and necessary. After all, you have to observe how the masters before us used the orchestra and learn the techniques from them to build upon what they did.

I still have many works to finish and upload, especially orchestrations and arrangements of well-known pieces by iconic composers and original orchestral pieces, among chamber music and solo piano pieces. I feel this year will be one of my most productive yet; let's hope so!
