I have learned that it’s not about the food or diet plan, it’s about our “relationship” with food. Do you “use” food for comfort? Do you turn to food for refuge? I spent most of my life turning to food for every emotion. Food satisfies for a temporary moment, but then leaves us wanting more.

Eating with boundaries and eliminating sugar and flour out of my life allowed me to finally focus on my relationship with food and discover “why” I always turned to it. Having those boundaries and guardrails around food gave me the ability to feel my emotions and work through them in a way that brought true healing and brought glory to God.
