In this video, we would like to show you how simple it is to install a Ratgate. First take the safety and release cable and attach it to the front of the Ratgate flap. Then take the cable and feed it to the rear of the Ratgate. Once at the back thread back up the rear eye of the Ratgate. This then will allow you to open the flap. The reason this is that should you have to use any cameras or inspection material, it gives you that access facility without removing the Ratgate.

To make installation more simple, attach the cable tie to the rear of the Ratgate, pulling it tight. This will reduce the size of the Ratgate. The Ratgate is spring-loaded. Once the Ratgate is in position in the drain pipe, cut the cable tie and the Ratgate will expand into position with the drainage pipe firmly.

The next procedure is to drill a hole in the top of the man-hole to attach the information tag.

Should you in the future need to access the drainage pipe, simply pull the cable, This will raise the flap.

You can see that when the drain is in operation, the water and the waste flows very freely through the Ratgate.
