Welcome to my first-impressions/blind Let's Play of Blue Rider, an indie 2D arcade SHMUP developed and published by Ravegan, who until recently, have been mostly an outsourcing company from Córdoba, Argentina. This is their first published in-house title.

In this title, you control the titular Blue Rider, on their quest to destroy the hostile robot riders and mechs across nine different colorful biomes. Be warned though, although this game seems easy at first, ramps up the difficulty fast. As the Rider, you'll face tons of enemies and many projectiles. What makes this even more challenging is that the Rider mech is relatively fragile, and there is barely any invincibility frames (both for you and the enemies). So, you can be wiped out in an instant if you are unlucky. Thankfully, enemies randomly drop health and bomb orbs, so you have some relief.

It's a pretty polished, solid, and tight shooter from first glances of the screenshots, trailer, and my test recording of the first stage. But, will it hold up in the later stages?

In this part, I complete stages 1 and 2, and die at the boss of stage 3.
