The Umhlathuze local municipality in Richards Bay, on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast, has used its one million rand budget for youth day event celebrations to support young entrepreneurs instead.

More than 150 young business owners from areas such as Empangeni and Richard's Bay received assistance to help grow their businesses.
