1993 Was The 40th Anniversary For Corvette. In Order To Celibrate The "40th Anniversary" Package Was Created. The 40th Anniversary Package Included Special Ruby Red Metallic Paint And A Ruby Red Iinterior. It Also Has Headrest Embroidery And Bright Emblems On The Hood, Deck And Side-Gills. All Leather Seats Had The 40th Anniversary Badge On The Headrest, The Base Black Cloth Seats Did Not.
The ZR1 also now incorporated 4-bolt main bearings, a Mobil 1 synthetic oil specification, platinum tipped spark plugs for increased service life and a new electrical exhaust gas recirculation system for improved emission control. Together these refinements endowed the car with stunning acceleration and unmatched speed. In its January 1994 “10 Best” issue Car and Driver Magazine declared the 1993 Corvette ZR1 the winner of the Top Speed category at a staggering 179 MPH, eclipsing the world’s best.
Combining as it does a historic level of performance with special paint and trim in a limited edition, the 1993 40th Anniversary ZR1 is universally recognized as one of the most collectible Corvettes ever produced. Chevrolet built only 488 ZR1 Corvettes in 1993; of these, only 245 were ordered with the highly desirable 40th Anniversary Package that featured a one-year-only Ruby Red exterior and matching leather interior. Adding to the mix are leather Sport seats, power AC1 and AC3 passenger and driver seats, electronic air conditioning, Delco-Bose AM/FM electronic sound system with cassette and CD player, low pressure tire warning system.
Only 245 Cars Were Produced This Year With The ZR1 Special Performance Package In Ruby Red Metallic.
