Human life is very rare. Making it valuable can be done, only when we achieve the ultimate goal of life i.e. popularly known as Moksha. Jiva is Brahman and is not separated from Brahman.
But the mind creates duality. Desires and fears are the root causes of the fluctuation of mind.The mind is so close to consciousness that it is very natural for the mind to have the illusion of being supreme. The mind is the cause of bondage and salvation.
If the mind turns towards the world, then there is bondage, if it turns towards the Supreme Soul, the soul attains salvation.
Truth is not realized because of the duality of mind.
It is the true saying that any and every worldly acquisition will end in sorrow... life and death, meeting and separation, construction and destruction. Because all these are time bound. Only the spirit inside us is beyond the time limits.
Sadguru tells the technique to experience the spirit inside us by focussing the mind. But one should be totally dedicated and has the feeling of surrender. Devotion is nothing but the total surrender to the guru.
