As we get closer to 2018, a flurry of activity surrounds oceanic operations as NAV CANADA gets ready to implement Aireon’s satellite-based ADS-B in oceanic airspace, with UK-based NATS. This means big changes for air traffic control and for pilots operating in the busy North Atlantic airspace. Many groups across the company are involved in facets of this effort as training, procedures, systems integration and other critical elements are worked on with one common goal in mind ‒ levering this exciting new technology for the benefit of our customers, and their customers.
