When planting Running Bamboo in your Garden, you nee to take a few precautions into consideration to control the spreading of the plant. I use 3 options:
1) Rhizome trench
2) Rhizome Barrier
3) Checking with the spade
All of them require a lot of digging and even with a Rhizome Barrier you are not out of the woods, you still need to check. However for me it is worth is, although looking at the video you might think opposite.
