First appearing in the second season of The Transformers in 1985, Omega Supreme is the Autobot’s last line of defense. The only remaining Guardian Robot, he was Sworn to protect the Crystal City of Cybertron. Here, he would be tricked by the Constructicons and would follow the combiner to Earth to seek revenge for the cities destruction. On Earth, he’d serve as transport for the Autobot’s. He’d take on a similar role in the Animated incarnation where he would also serve as transport for the Autobot’s but was originally constructed as a doomsday weapon to end the Decepticons.

As a guardian, Omega Supreme would be tasked with protecting the Omega Gate from Megatron in War For Cybertron, even withstanding the Dark Energon the Decepticons would use to corrupt him. In Energon, he would single handily defeat Unicron and upon the Chaos Bringer’s pending return, combine with Optimus Prime to become Optimus Supreme. But this wouldn’t be his last run in with Unicron, as in the IDW continuity, Omega Supreme would be partially responsible for Unicron’s creation as a Shockwave disguised as Onyx Prime would order Supreme and the Sentinels to ravage Antilla, forcing a scientist there to create the Uncreator to combat the massive threat and plaguing Omega’s mind for causing such horror.

No matter his purpose, he’s a testament to the resiliency and stakes of the Autobot cause: begging the question Who Is Omega Supreme or the Transformers?
