Nazko Complex: Quesnel BC's Active Volcano! Flyover of Crater Lake!

Thanks to co-worker David Curtis and his drone we were able to get this great flyover one of the Nazko features and it's aptly called Crater Lake. In this video you will learn a little bit about the Nazko Volcano complex in BC's Cariboo wilderness, it's still active and could theoretically wake up any given time. There are several volcanic features in the area that have formed as the continental crust has moved over the hot spot over the eons. There are also two other mountain ranges south west of Nazko that were likely formed when they once sat over the hot spot. Fortunately, it's not a volcano complex whose eruption is likely to cause a great deal of devastation. Maybe someday we'll get to see some activity from a safe distance.
