Описание к видео Ghost Towns and More | Episode 24 | Idaho City, Idaho

When gold was discovered in 1862 in the Boise Basin in what is now the state of Idaho, early prospectors couldn't pick it up fast enough. It created the biggest gold rush since the California Rush in 1849. The town of Idaho City outsized Portland, Oregon in its boom days until the gold veins played out. Today, Idaho City is a fun place to visit with quaint hotels, furnished historic structures and buildings, as well as preserved relics of the past. Plan on spending the better part of a day seeing all there is to see in this beautiful area!
