Today's video is about easy and simple daal makhni recipe. This recipe is very simple but takes a longer to cook without pressure cooker. It is very easy to cook at home with basic ingredients and it is finger licking tasty. On this channel, we don't compromise on health or taste, we give you the best of both worlds. We hope that you would like to try our recipes.

**COOKING TIME**

Without pressure cooker:
Cook lentils: 60-90 minutes
Cook lentils with tarka: 60-90 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 3 hours

With pressure cooker:
Pressure cook all lentils in water: 5-7 minutes
Cook lentils with tarka: 30-45 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 1 hour

Note: Cooking daal with and without pressure cooker will give almost the same taste but will change the appearance a bit by using pressure cooker as the fiber will get separated from the lentils leaving the dal less tempting.

INGREDIENTS:

Urad dal whole 1/2 cup-soaked overnight
Kidney beans 1/4 cup -soaked overnight
Black beans 1/4 cup-soaked overnight
Water 4-5 liters (or as required)
Olive oil or any refined oil 1 tbsp
Kashmiri chili powder 2 tbsp
Tomatoes 2 large-blended
Salt to taste
Garam masala 1 tsp
Fenugreek leaves 1 tbsp
