Replacing the cam and VVT hub seals, Volvo cam sprocket hubs, P2 V70, S60, C70, S70, S80, etc.- VOTD

Replacing seals: 3 to 4 hours ($50 / $500 / $1100)

I STRONGLY URGE you to replace the small seal inside the hub lip if you see any oil in the timing belt area at all. It is a custom seal that is only available (to my knowledge) at Swedish Car Parts: https://swedishcarparts.com/parts/sea...

In this video I show how I replace the seals in and behind the VVT hubs on the Volvo vehicles with the VVT hubs. NOT all of them spring load, not sure how to tell the difference. As long as they have a play range, they may be good. They should not have a lot of in and out play when installed on the vehicle/engine.
