58023 in action on the Severn Valley Railway - 2024 Autumn Diesel Bash

58023 became the first class 58 to haul a passenger train in the UK for over 20 years, as it starred in the Severn Valley Railway's 2024 Autumn Diesel Bash' event. It is seen at various locations along the line, including Kidderminster, Foley Park, Sterns, Bridgnorth, Northwood Halt and Eardington. This footage was filmed on the Friday and Saturday of the gala, with 20142 and 048 also appearing on the trains as insurance. These were also the first passenger runs for a Class 58 under preservation. Hopefully the 58 will appear at many more heritage railway galas, and this is all a testament to the work on the loco that has gone in behind the scenes. Well done to all!
