1. How to Buy a USJ Express Pass on Klook
• You can buy your Express Pass directly on the Klook app or website by searching “Universal Studios Japan Express Pass.” Remember, this is an additionalticket on top of your Studio Pass.
• Choose the specific pass type depending on what rides you want to prioritize, especially for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Super Nintendo World.
• After selecting your date, Klook shows the exact ride inclusions and included timed-entry for Harry Potter or Super Nintendo World.
• Once purchased, you’ll receive a QR code that you can scan directly at the park.

2. How to Get to USJ via Train
• The most common route is taking the JR Osaka Loop Line to Nishikujo Station, then transferring to the JR Yumesaki Line (also called the Sakurajima Line).
• Get off at Universal-City Station, which is just a 3–5 minute walk to the USJ entrance.
• Travel time is usually 15–25 minutes from central Osaka depending on your starting point.
• Signage is very clear, and trains are frequent, making it the easiest and most tourist-friendly option.

3. Tips on Getting Free Timed-Entry via the USJ Mobile App
• Download the Universal Studios Japan Official App before your visit and create an account in advance.
• Once inside the park, connect to the USJ Wi-Fi and check the app for Area Entry Tickets.
• Free timed-entry for Harry Potter and Super Nintendo World opens and closes based on crowd levels, so check frequently throughout the day.
• Best chances: right at park opening, after big crowds move to major rides, or when timed slots refresh.
• If a slot appears, reserve it immediately — the app will save your QR code.
• Even if you have an Express Pass, knowing how the free timed-entry works can help you re-enter or explore more flexibly.

‼️Our express pass included the following:
• THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY
POTTER Area Entry - at the time of our visit, tined-entry was not required (so this one was useless).

• Harry Potter and the Forbidden
Journey - as HP fans, this 4D ride was worth it.

• SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Area Entry - we managed to get an earlier time slot compared to our express pass via USJ mobile app for FREE.

• Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge - fan ride but very quick. 5/5 especially if you’re a Super Mario gamer.

• Yoshi's Adventure — this kiddie ride let’s you experience Super Mario World, definitely worth it.

• Illumination's Villain-Con Minion Blast — we didn’t ride this one since we opted to go home early and the schedule was a little late.

⁉️PRO & CONS (in our opinion):
✅ REDUCES wait times — especially for popular rides at USJ, regular lines often reach 1–3 hours (sometimes more). The Express Pass can cut these waits dramatically minutes.
✅Guaranteed access to high-demand areas/attractions — like Super Nintendo World or Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
✅Maximizes ONE DAY visit — With long waits gone or cut down, you can see many more attractions, shows and themed zones in a single visit.
✅Less stress especially if you’re with groups, kids or elderly.

❌Extra cost — expensive! 
❌Limited coverage — not all rides/attractions included: Express Pass only applies to a subset of rides or attractions. If some of your wished-for rides aren’t on the pass list, you may end up queueing anyway. 
❌Time-slot constraints — you have to plan around the schedule rather than ride whenever you want. 
❌It doesn’t guarantee a “perfect” day: On very busy days, even Express Pass users may face delays (especially if many people buy passes). Also, if a ride you wanted is closed for maintenance or timed-entry zones are full, the pass may not help.

❓WAS IT WORTH IT?
For HP & SNW fans like us, YES! However, I would rather buy the Express 4 (which was already sold out on our chosen date). Would I buy an express again the next visit? NO! The additional price is no JOKE.
But but but.. We recommend that you get it, it’s really a TIME saver.
