I've been cautiously optimistic about the new 3D Sonic game as many fans were, but hearing the music and seeing the footage come out really got me excited to play Sonic Frontiers. I was aware of some of the music coming out, but this song got stuck in my head immediately. I just couldn't get over that modulation every chorus, it just really lifted it in such a fun way. As many of you know, when something becomes lodged in my brain this hard, I usually just HAVE to cover it... the only problem was that it's way out of my range.

Part of me felt like maybe this was just simply not a song I should do since I can't since as high as To Octavia's Merry Kirk-Holmes, but after some time I realized that that shouldn't stop me from at least trying. Sure, there will be the certain YouTube comments complaining about how I sound nothing like the original (as always) or that if I can't sing in the original key, why bother? I think I've learned to let those things go in the pursuit of making music and sharing it with people who would like to hear it.

I gave it my best and tried to lean into the octaves to create a bit more of a contrast over the whole piece. I'm sure it won't be everyone's taste, but I sure had fun!

Also what the HELL was this song originally played on? A 9 string? I had to tuned down to Drop A an octave down just to double some of the rhythms like they sounded on the original. Truly the first song to stump me on tuning. Quad-tracked this between the 8-string and my 7-string. Hope you dig the sound!
