JCM800 ➥ Soldano SLO Crunch + X88R spec mods (+ boosted w/ super tube screamer)

Описание к видео JCM800 ➥ Soldano SLO Crunch + X88R spec mods (+ boosted w/ super tube screamer)

in this demo we're looking at the crunch channel/mode.
all x3 mod switches are activated: X88R specs + V1B cathode bypass cap.
Aria Pro II LC1000 (w/ seymour duncan distortion bridge)
boosted with a Maxon ST-9 super tube screamer (clone build)

AMP DETAILS:
had a heavily modified mojotone 2204/JCM800 kit build sitting around.
stripped it down.
designed wiring layout to allow switching (DPDT) between clean / crunch modes - as per SLO100 normal channel.
rebuilt with new layout (+ improved grounding)
retroactively decided to add switches to modify x2 values to match soldano X88R-spec as seen on available schematics. (2M2 to 680K via parallel 1M; 1uF cathode bypass (V2A) to 100nF),
and added another switchable gain boost mod, cathode bypass on V1B (nil to 470nF).

x3 12AX7 (V1: Tung Sol V2: JJ V3: Sovtek LPS)
x2 KT77 (Genalex)
B+1 filter cap - 200uF (F&T 100+100 cap can) - for maximum punch / low end response.

clean channel/mode sounds pretty much exactly the same as my SLO100 build's clean channel, but we're not here for that today.
