It's difficult to imagine a more destructive force than gossip. It's a destroyer as harmful as any physical events we can even imagine.

I've heard people ask, "What about good gossip?" Well, if we define gossip as "any type of harmful or hurtful information that is not absolutely necessary to share"...then there is no such thing as good gossip.

Sharing helpful information is fine, but that's not gossip. Gossip -- by its very definition -- is destructive.
