This is a Quake 3 (1.17) tournament game from September 2000, played on lan in Toronto at the Canadian Cyber Championships, which was the Canadian qualifier for the World Cyber Games Challenge. The tournament was renamed to WCG Canada the following year.

Couple notes:

We apparently didn't believe in the lightning gun at the time, as for some reason both me and my opponent barely use it.
This was during an era of ball mice, and low framerates. (I remember the tournament computers not being particularly fast)
Yes, that is a significant lag spike in the beginning. Somehow, we were getting latency problems on lan.
Sorry, no brightskins. To be fair, this is actually how we played back then, as we were using a semi-broken version of osp and most of us ended up just using stock Quake 3 skins.
