The Indian Coast Guard has commissioned the advanced fast patrol vessel ‘Adamya’ on the Odisha coast, strengthening security in the Bay of Bengal. Built by Goa Shipyard Limited, the vessel will be deployed at Paradip to enhance coastal surveillance, maritime law enforcement, and search-and-rescue operations. With a speed of 50 kmph (27 knots), Adamya will also help prevent infiltration, piracy, and protect India’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
