What do you do when bees do the unexpected and relocate their nest to under the hive? (Auto-Dubbed Languages: 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇮🇳 🇮🇩 🇮🇹 🇯🇵 🇪🇸 🇧🇷)

This is not uncommon and is usually a by-product of the swarming process. If an old queen cannot fly leaves with a swarm, sometimes she will crawl back under the hive, and a second colony will be formed.

In this case, the most likely scenario is that the new queen returned after her mating flight and missed the entrance to the hive, instead crawling underneath.

This video demonstrates the relocation of a bee nest from the underside of a Flow Hive beehive. The combs are cut off, put into frames, and set up in a HiveIQ new box.

While this happened under a Flow Hive, it must be stressed that it had nothing to do with the Flow Hive design. I have seen it happen under timber, plastic, and EPS hives.
