These models preheat faster than standard cast iron, in addition to having an electronic timer and internal crumb tray. A selector switch permits bottom only operation - a griddle and sandwich grill all in one. And finally, the vitroceramic infrared(VG) speed panini grill heats up the fastest, and toasts sandwiches the fastest too, using a combination of contact and infrared heat. With the removable toasting collar, toasting times are even reduced further. An electronic timer and internal crumb ray are standard.
