Feast of Strangers - a greeting to Riga from Theodore Zeldin / microRIBOCA

✨“Feast of Strangers” Riga premiere! ✨
What if a conversation with a new person was more than just a small talk? What if you had the opportunity to have a meaningful exchange with a stranger and spark a new relationship, new ideas, and new outlooks on life? Would you take it? ‘Feast of Strangers’ is an event based on an original idea by Oxford scholar Theodore Zeldin. The events pair two strangers together for sincere, rewarding exchanges that probe beyond small talk. You are each given a ‘Menu of Conversation’ but instead of descriptions of food dishes, each heading contains topics to talk about.

The event was organized by the Riga International Biennial of Contemporary Art (RIBOCA) and Oxford Muse Foundation within the support of Dailes Theatre on 7 October 2019.
We want to thank each and everyone who inspired and encouraged others to participate, who was keen on learning, trusted, listened, and above all who was open to new findings and brave enough to take a chance on having a conversation with a stranger.
