The attorney general, a state senator and a state representative announced new legislation to combat human trafficking.

Joined by Sen. John Damoose (R - 37) and Rep. Kelly Breen (D - 21), Attorney General Dana Nessel spoke Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Frank Kelley Law Library to announce new legislation aimed at combating human trafficking, according to Nessel's office.

On Tuesday, Aug. 29, Nessel spoke with Assistant Attorney General and Chair of the Michigan Human Trafficking Commission Melissa Palepu on her podcast "Pantsuits and Lawsuits" about the "unsettling reality" of human trafficking in the U.S., how traffickers are targeting children through video games, and how immigration enforcement has silenced human trafficking victims.
