We fall for a guy who is just amazing. There’s chemistry, lots of things in common, and we think things are going really well. And then, he starts to pull back. He says he’s busy at work, he needs to spend time with his kids, it’s a bad time for him right now and he stops communicating with us…"

The question is, is he losing interest OR just busy? Should you give him the benefit of the doubt? Or is he just trying to let you down easily?

My answer is The simple answer to this: probably both are true, if he’s too busy to message, then he’s too busy to have a relationship with you. If he’s losing interest, then he’ll be busy doing other things, and also be too busy to have a relationship with you.

In either case, he’s not putting you as a priority.

The true intention of that guy will reveal itself over time. Asking him whether he is still interested, is not the answer. Because he’s going to say yes even if he’s losing interest because men like to leave their options open.

My advice is to not overthink this and to continue dating other people UNTIL you get exclusivity from a man.

Seeing multiple men helps you avoid tunnel vision on one man, but more important than that is to NOT get carried away with the newness of someone until you know “for sure” he’s committed to you.
