History of Rashtriya Military School from KGRIMC Jullunder to Nowgaon and finally to Chail

The oldest military school in Asia, Rashtriya Military School Chail established in 1925 has a long history and contribution to the Indian Society. From Param Veer Chakra Capt G S Salaria to numerous armed forces officers, civil servants, physicians, businessmen, engineers, scientists, politicians, and patriotic Indian citizens as alumni.

Five military schools in India are located in Ajmer, Belgaum, Bengaluru, Chail, and Dholpur. These are boarding schools with a focus on the all-round development of cadets. Selection is based on the National level entrance exam (RMS-CET), interview, and medicals. Schools serve citizens of India from armed forces and civilian backgrounds. Cadets get training from 6th grade to 12th grade. They all have the option to opt for the National Defence Academy.
