Hi everyone, and welcome to another ride. For this ride, I take the R68 (Q) Train to Coney Island. Going up to here from the AM Rush Hour (D) Train run, there were delays in service on the 🟡Broadway Line🟡 going to 96, but it cleared when I got to 96. As a result, I was able to get this smooth trip down to Coney Island. After this ride, I went to the beach to relax because I had lots of time to burn to wait for the PM Rush Hour (D) Train run. What I wasn’t prepared for would come back in the evening. I will explain it on the reverse peak (D) Train run to Stillwell. It has been a year since I got the first leg of the R68 (Q) Train and the same thing with the R68A, but massive service changes like the 63 St Shutdown made me have to wait for months to be able to do this. I returned to the (Q) because starting August 5, until the end of the year, there will be major service changes on the Brighton Line, due to accessibility renovations at Church Av. Church Av will close in two phases, one phase will install elevators on the Coney Island Bound side, the other on the Manhattan Bound side. From August 5 to October-November, Brighton Beach Bound (B) and Coney Island Bound (Q) Trains will skip Church Av, and from October-November until early 2025, Manhattan Bound (B) and (Q) Trains will skip Church Av. Also, (B) Trains will run LOCAL in BOTH DIRECTIONS on the Brighton Line during this process. So yeah, I did get the Rush Hour R68 (B) Train in before the reconstruction projects took place. But for now, I hope you guys enjoy this one as this was a fun trip to the beach.
