The Confusing Direction of Final Fantasy V - A Retrospective Analysis

After its predecessor shook up what would come to be expected from future games in the series, Final Fantasy V had some big shoes to fill, and it followed IV's legacy in a way I think most would find pretty unexpected.

I wanted to really take a look at what it is about this game that makes it so frequently overlooked in the lineage of the series, and I think I've come to understand it more than ever as a result. FFV is the last classic FF game in my eyes, and it encapsulates this section of the series history wonderfully.

Saying this took me much longer than expected would be the understatement of the year, but it's finally here! I'm so proud of this one, it's been in the making for so long at this point (I genuinely thought this would be out months ago.... all I can say is life caught up with me).
