Two years ago we loved the trails at the klim ride. There was sections Klim recommended we not do…so, of course we wanted to go do the “not recommended” trails ;)

I did a perfect log hero hop, it was pretty high off the ground. And on a very difficult bolder trap hill climb I looped my bike…damaging the rear fender…again. On 2nd attempt I stomped it and did a perfect moving pivot and never completely stopped as I went through 3 very large and tight boulders. Then rested and got to climb a very steep/loose hill climb, which we are told is the hardest trail in the area. It sure felt like it!

We took extra fuel. I took a liter and did some rough math and figured I was getting about 28mpg. Running out of fuel and water on a two stroke means its going to be physically demanding ride!

Justin said he dropped his bike more on this ride than all year combined.

I feel like I’m in pretty good riding shape, but today really wore me out! Not often I get charleyhorses and be wiped out the next day.

I loved the trials, the river crossings and views. The spirit was renewed, but the body was beat down!

We bush wack’d for about an hour (going as slow as possible and not being able to see the trail).

So grateful Justin brought his water filter because we used it twice!

I got muscle cramps super painful after a long hard down hill of man-sized-head rocks.
