Description:
The GK-55 is a little known model that is actually jam-packed with tons of cool features. These features include a stock TP-6 Tailpiece, Double Cream Dirty Fingers Pickups and the feature that everyone fails to mention and remained a secret for nearly 40-years is the fact this has special electronics. It has a spin-a-split knob that lets you coil-split your pickups into single coil sounds and all the in-betweens.

The GK-55 was produced from 1979-1981 in the Standard and Active format. The Standards were offered in Tobacco Sunburst (one report of a Cherry Sunburst version) and the Active one came in Black with a Moog board left over from an RD Artist.

These are strange bolt-on neck Gibson's that aren't officially Les Pauls, but they sure are cool.
