The first CinemaScope musical and the third film version of the popular Broadway show, this time around ROSE MARIE stars Ann Blyth and Howard Keel. When Mountie Mike Malone (Keel) sends his wilderness raised tomboy ward (Blyth) off to learn how to behave like a lady, he almost loses her to a dashing renegade (Fernando Lamas) before he realizes he has fallen for her. Bert Lahr and Marjorie Main provide comic relief that's as good as it gets. Features musical numbers staged by the great Busby Berkeley, including the outrageous and stunning sequence "Totem to Totem".
