📌 IoT-Based Smart Dustbin Monitoring & Waste Segregation System

In this video, we demonstrate our IoT-based Smart Dustbin System, designed to tackle the challenges of waste management in modern societies. The project integrates sensors, IoT platforms, and automation to provide real-time monitoring, smart alerts, and efficient waste segregation.

🔑 Key Features:

✅ Ultrasonic Sensor – Measures the fill level of the bin in real time
✅ IR Sensor – Enables automatic lid opening for contactless, hygienic disposal
✅ MQ-2 Gas Sensor – Detects harmful gases and unpleasant odors
✅ Rain Sensor & Servo Motor – Segregates waste into wet and dry compartments
✅ LCD Display & Buzzer – Shows bin status and triggers alerts when 75% full
✅ DHT11 Sensor – Monitors temperature & humidity
✅ Blynk App Integration – Displays live data and sends notifications on smartphones
✅ Firebase Realtime Database – Stores bin data with timestamps for future analysis

⚙️ How It Works:

When a person approaches, the IR sensor detects motion and the lid opens automatically.

The Ultrasonic sensor measures garbage levels and updates data to Firebase.

Once the bin reaches 75% capacity, the buzzer and app send alerts.

The MQ-2 monitors harmful gases, while the DHT11 tracks environmental conditions.

The Rain Sensor + Servo Motor segregates waste into wet and dry bins for recycling.

All data is accessible in real-time through the Blynk app.
