Trail Running In The Himalayas

This video is an attempt to capture the experience of trail running the 25K trail in the Himalayas. Summit Run Sethan Dome was a trail running race organised by Boots And Crampons in Sethan, Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India. This was the second edition of the event. The race was categorised into 16K, 25K and 50K categories. The event was conducted on 8th June 2024. It started from Jagathsukh village, which is 8 km away from Manali, around 4:30 AM. The trail passes through beautiful mountainsides full of deodar trees (Cedrus deodara) and pines. There was ice even in the summer. We could touch the frozen ice pockets near the Hamta Peak on the way. We could see the snow-capped Himalayan peaks and enjoy green meadows, valleys and streams of meltwater.
