Steps:
1. Transfer modules (licenses).
2. Download DCS World Standalone Open Beta installer.
3. Make sure you Steam version is in Open Beta and locate local files.
4. Run Standalone installer. IMPORTANT: create Desktop Icon (Shortcut) and finish without "Start Download" checked. If done correctly your DCS World Open Beta will be ~8 MB.
5. Move Steam files into new folder. In my case I have moved Standalone files ontop of already migrated Steam files, I cant be sure if merging Steam ontop of standalone 8 MB will work, so might do 2 folders like I did.
6. Check that Shortcut is linked to updater exe in your new unified folder
7. If done correctly Shortcut will run withour error, get ~3.2 MB sized "update data" and start checking files. Wait for lengthy verification and it should just download ~200 mb after that.
8. If at any further step it asks if it deletes, backups or keeps some files, Keep them.
9. Run DCS StandAlone, note there's no module licenses + no licenses manager. Close game, go into your game folder, Config, delete Retail.cfg .
10. Run DCS SA again, there should be manager now available. Go and manually click on product you want to download. Game will close, veryfiy files, download a bit here and there. Repeat for each module. Always Keep files which verify process finds.
11. You should be all set!
Play for a week or two and then you might delete steam version. Or right away. There will always be DCS Repair Tool in the worst case scenario. You can find it in your pc search bar or download handy "DCS Updater Utility".

TO DO: proper thumbnail.
