Knife Angel Hereford Summer 2021 | Farewell Video

Описание к видео Knife Angel Hereford Summer 2021 | Farewell Video

The Knife Angel is a stunning 27ft, 3.5 ton, sculpture of an angel made out of 100,000 confiscated knives received from 43 Police Forces across the UK. Originating from The British Ironwork Centre in Oswestry and created by sculptor Alfie Bradley, it has been on tour of towns and cities around Britain raising awareness of the issues of knife crime and all forms of violence and aggression.

From 14 June - 14 July 2021, it visited the city of Hereford and was situated on the West End of the Cathedral. During the Knife Angel’s visit there was also a series of workshops and interactive events as well as a weapons amnesty organised by the Knife Angel Hereford team.

This video reflects back on the Knife Angel's visit to Hereford and speaks to some of the individuals involved in the project who share their experiences of the last month. A huge thank you to all involved in the project, especially the partners and sponsors.
