To reduce these accidents, the Industrial Technology Research Institute in Taiwan has developed an "Intersection Collision Avoidance System". This new technology involves satellite navigation systems to identify the position of vehicles to help prevent accidents. For vehicles that are slowly approaching, it can detect them at a distance of 50-meters or even less, and issue a warning.
