(1:50 min) = NYC Critical Mass Ride, August 27, 2004, a week before the Republican National Convention. What was expected to be a fun "Party on Wheels" ended in multiple arrests and changed the purpose of the ride for many cyclists from then on.

Chris walks around West Village (with his bicycle) and films cyclists getting arrested. A police officer comes up to him and arrests him. As he gets arrested, a bystander holds Chris' video camera and continues to film, so the police could not confiscate his footage. (For which we are grateful!)

Standing handcuffed by the paddy wagon, Chris meets Ben Stewart, one of our Kickstarter backers. (Yes, the same Ben, who plays the violin in Team Spider, Chris' bike punk band, www.teamspider.com.)

Now you've seen the video. I bet you're WONDERING, for what was Chris ARRESTED???

Well, Chris was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Parade Without A Permit, and Obstruction Of A Government Vehicle (a Patriot Act law that was thrown out in court.) When Chris went to court, he was charged with Parading Without A Permit and Disorderly Conduct. If he took an ACD (Adjournment in Contemplation of Dismissal) for Disorderly Conduct, the government would drop the other charge. If he didn't get arrested for six months, the government would drop the charge of Disorderly Conduct.

So Chris took an ACD.

Let's see if Chris can make it six months without getting arrested. (that might be difficult even without Critical Mass.)
