在中華文化裡，“龍”是力量的象徵，龍鳳圖騰象徵著吉祥，華夏子孫無不以自己為“龍的傳人”而自豪，每逢節慶民間更有舞龍的傳統。民族管弦樂《龍舞》是作曲家根據1999年農曆正月十五在新加坡觀看妝藝遊行時受到的啟發創作而成。作品氣勢恢弘，高潮迭起，具有强大的張力和陽剛之氣。作品特别突出打擊樂聲部，在高潮段落有大約6分鐘的打擊樂華彩段，渲染了濃郁的節日氣氛。

In Chinese culture, the "dragon" symbolizes strength, and the dragon-phoenix totem represents auspiciousness. Descendants in Chinese culture often take pride in considering themselves "descendants of the dragon." Traditional dragon dances during festivals further emphasize this cultural symbol. The ethnic orchestral piece "Dragon Dance" was composed by an artist inspired by the decorations and parades during the Lunar New Year celebrations in Singapore in 1999. The composition is grand, with successive climaxes, exuding powerful energy and a masculine spirit. Notably, the piece features an outstanding percussion section, including a dazzling percussion segment of about six minutes during the climax, creating a rich festive atmosphere.
