This is the original first-broadcast version of Fifth Gear's first ever episode. It's a bit too late to celebrate its 22nd anniversary (over a month late), but let this serve as a great gift to fans, to which sadly wasn't delivered properly by Fifth Gear's YouTube channel ten years back.

Technical details? Originally 720x576 (16:9 letterboxed to 5:4), 50fps, deinterlaced, with stereo sound (the copy originally has 384kbps sound) and was recorded at the end of a long play tape on a expensive VCR plugged to cable.

This episode contains the lot; true stereo sound (to which the Fifth Gear YT rip has it badly preserved, if there was any), widescreen adverts, short Channel 5 continuity, the Ultimate Supercar Experience competition, all soundtracks in first-broadcast form and the outro sequence without a huge "SUBSCRIBE" written on the right side, but instead with the Car Buyers Guide card.
