What is an ideal approach to storytelling?

In this video I go over 4 ways to use connection as an approach to storytelling. Often readers choose their next adventure for escape but because there are things such as bibliotherapy, we are not finding that they like to connect because it resembles life. We will talk more on bibliotherapy later!

In my opinion familiarity will always hook the reader because guess what? No everyone likes surprises. In addition, identifying your connection portal. It could be the character, the event, etc. but the moment your reader can relate, they're locked in. Overall theme, what is the message? Humans look for answers, and sometimes we find what we need in stories. And last but not least, writing style. It's a lot easier to connect when we know what's going on!
