Описание к видео Let's Talk: Psychedelics and Queer Identity (A Psychedelics Today webinar)

Psychedelics can help uncover many personal truths. Sometimes, use of these substances can result in realizations and discoveries about one's sexuality and gender identity. These situations can be tricky to navigate, which is why open dialogue, community support, and inclusivity are fundamental values to nurture.

This webinar, which took place August 9, covered all of this and more: the connections, challenges, research, and real life stories within the realms of psychedelics and queer identity.

The panel:
-Amy Bartlett is a curiosity enthusiast and queer psychedelic geek currently working on her Ph.D. at the University of Ottawa, Canada.

-Dr. Clancy Cavnar is a clinical psychologist in San Francisco in private practice.

-Terence Ching, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral associate at the Yale OCD Research Clinic, where he is involved in the development and conduct of psilocybin clinical trials for OCD.

-Steven Huang is MAPS’ first Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Officer, leading teams across the organization to address the psychedelic ecosystem’s inequality challenges, as well as its opportunity to provide for collective liberation.

And host David Drapkin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Psychotherapist, and the Director of Education & Training here at Psychedelics Today.

This webinar was free to attend, but we highly encouraged donations to the not-for-profit of the guests' choosing: Rainbow Railroad, a global organization that helps LGBTQI+ people facing persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex characteristics. If you attended live or are watching now and are enjoying this conversation, please donate!
