The Polish government has approved plans for a tough new migration strategy, including the possibility of temporarily suspending the acceptance of asylum applications if "immigrants threaten to destabilize the state. Over the past three years, Poland has seen thousands of people trying to cross its heavily forested border with Belarus. They have been encouraged by Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko to fly to Minsk and are then directed to the Polish border by Belarusian authorities.
