Since we first started remediation and management of contamination on sites in the late 1980s, uncertainties in the assessment, remediation and development phases of such projects have led to significant time, cost and outcome issues for stakeholders.

Ian Kluckow of Prensa has been remediating sites through much of that time period having been in the industry for over 35 years. Ian will start his presentation by illustrating some of the fundamental aspects of contaminated land management that drive the uncertainty. Through real career examples, he will delve into some of the history of how he has come to a greater appreciation of contaminated land risks to potentially save you some of the learning that he has already done. Ian will also talk about some of the more significant and unusual challenges he has faced on the journey of discovery that contaminated land management presents.
