Obstructive jaundice

FINDINGS :

PAPILLA: is swollen and bulged out. No bile flow seen.

PANCREATOGRAM: Not done.

CHOLANGIOGRAM: The terminal part of the CBD is narrowed and irregular. Rest of the CBD, CHD and the intrahepatic ducts are dilated. Papillotomy is done with conventional papillotome. A 6cm partially covered metal stent is implanted into the bile duct across the narrowed segment with establishment of free flow of bile.

COMMENTS: Ampullary growth.

THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION: Papillotomy and metal stenting of the CBD done.
